About Me

Prior to my private practice, I worked within a local non-government service providing support to members of our community. My work there included supporting people through the challenges of becoming new parents along with support in the areas of separation, domestic violence and sexual harm.

I am a trained counsellor and hold a diploma in counselling. I am a registered provisional member with the New Zealand Association of Counsellors, the governing body for counsellors in New Zealand.

As a provisional member I am required to undertake continuing professional development each year to enable further development of my skills and knowledge and I am bound by a code of ethics.

Life can be quite a journey with difficult and challenging times coming to most of us at some point and sometimes it may be difficult to ask for help. I can offer you counselling sessions to help you to
expIore issues in a safe and supportive environment.

What can you expect from me?

Empathy, a confidential, non-judgmental and accepting approach to help you find the solutions you are looking for.

I work with anxiety, depression, stress, parenting, workplace conflict and issues arising from family violence. I work mainly from a person-centred approach which puts you at the centre of the process of creating positive change in your life.

I also draw on a number of other counselling modalities using appropriate strategies as needed.
I offer private counselling services here in Queenstown.
